I was just reading some of the reviews of the beeb train programme. I haven't seen it yet so I cannot comment on it but I have noticed in the past that some programmes have tended to veer off track, whether this is to try not to be too nerdy or that the programme makers haven't a clue about the subject.

We have a share in a 60' narrowboat. We own it together with 11 other shareholders and each 'share' gets 4 weeks use a year, which is allocated at the AGM by drawing lots. The other four weeks used for maintenance.

Mr R's off on the boat with his sister and her other half next month. I'm going cycling.

Last night's kebab seems to have cured my man-flu , I might even have enough energy today to get the dreaded strimmer out and cut the foot high grass

I've reclaimed the bike from under an inch or two of dust, cleaned the chain and pumped up the tyres. I shall leave early and take the quiet lanes into town. Looking forward to the ride but slightly concerned that I'll keel over sideways...

Just imagine the miles you could do up and down the canal towpath as they travel along it.
