Laundry on and I've persuaded a friend that she wants to drive us and our dogs up onto Exmoor for a seven mile walk near Tarr Steps. She's useless at time management so no worries about whether the washing machine will have finished before she gets here.

Is it me?

I rarely buy bread unless i have guests or i particularly fancy it which is not often however i bought a sourdough and rye loaf 2 days ago and its been stored in the breadbin but has gone mouldy.

Is this some ploy to make us buy more bread?

Too warm. If I buy shop bread, it lives in the freezer and I take a couple of slices at a time when I want toast, but fresh bread doesn't have a great shelf life in the best of circumstances. I bought a sourdough loaf from the farmer's market yesterday: it's in a cool and dark yet airy cupboard, wrapped in paper and not plastic. Seems ok this morning.
