Opticians appointment over, I am meant to go every 12 months but it's always more like 2 years when I finally get round to it.

Now onto the more fun stuff of driving round in a hot hatch

I thought I'd have a go at that 22 press ups for 22 days. I did 3 on Sunday and it seemed that I would be doing 22 over 22 days. I couldn't believe how unfit or unwell I am at the moment. I did manage 10 earlier this morning in 2 sessions and then 11 a few minutes ago. I couldn't get up for number 12.

I couldn't do any press-ups at all. In fact if I get down on the floor its quite difficult to get up again. So on the motobecane scale you are doing brilliantly!

Not really, that's back in June. We're on the downward slope now.

Middle of summer is July.

I can't do press ups either and I can only nearly do a Pilates style press up.

I have been for a lovely walk down the beach in the drizzle along the edge of the water which was much warmer than when I tried to swim in it.

The consultant told me this in a slightly sarcastic tone....

I'm too unfit to train!
