Dog successfully walked. All our feet are sore after that ten mile meander in the sunshine. The field were brown and plants were wilting - this weekend's rain will be welcomed.

This was an amazingly calm heron, it allowed us to stop on the towpath right behind it and only flew away when we began to shuffle towards it.....

I was having a little rest before the meet up when I saw people running, for fun

Then once we all arrived I heard tale of injury and mishap

And just to prove how close we got to the unidentified egret...

Because they always do the work on a cool day, and the tar on the back of the shingles doesn't get to melt before the wind starts blowing a hoolie again. Today is quite hot, but it's taking them all day. Should take three hours, on a good day with the wind behind ye.
