Head hurting too much to catch up on posts. I blame it on the full moon. It affects hormones which in turn, can cause migraine (thats my theory) and blimey, have I got migraine! Anyway I am just popping in to say hello. :hello:
Ouch! I hope the head settles down soon. I can get mild migraines which affect my eyesight and brought on by fatigue and coffee and accelerated by exercise. I've had to stop early rides and sit on a wall or a bench somewhere until I can see where I'm going but mercifully I've never had the pains. A work partner used to get monster ones and I could see how much he suffered. So my sympathies.

I think the grey heron is our only resident species. Meanwhile, over the last 10 or so years, the little egret, related to the heron, has become resident again.

And something vaguely resembling a harvest moon has just risen above a neighbouring rooftop.
Yes, quite. Grey heron slightly smaller. No patches of brown. Still, keep an eye open for the Great Blue Heron, vagrants have been known to reach England , the Netherlands, and Spain
