My friend made us some Jaffa cakes years ago (started as a joke to get my youngest child to cycle back to the car after a reasonably hard off in the Forest of Dean). They were delicious! View attachment 141145

Still 30 degrees in the living room. Twas 33 outside at the hottest. I've just been round to visit my mum and cousin. They were both too hot sitting in a hot house to walk 300 yards to a pub garden. I had to explain the boiled frog story but still couldn't get them to jump any further than the house garden. Beer tastes very good though, now that I'm home again. Taken purely for medicinal reasons, of course.

Hail storms yesterday.
Torrential rain overnight.

Due a -4C over the weekend on Saturday night.

It was strange yesterday afternoon, I was upstairs getting showered and changed after my ride and I had very cold feet, most peculiar it was about 80 degrees in the house.

Beware if extremities get cold. It could mean poor circulation...

Arrived in Essex in extreme heat (I'm not designed for hot weather). Hey ho. Its raining now but still hot. Tomorrow I'm off to raid the charity shops in Saffron Walden (good pickings).
