I'm always getting a bollocking for not taking enough interest in stuff. Like curtains, decor and a few hundred other things. It is clean, it is tidy, and the curtains are all fine, as is the crockery, (it all works), cutlery too is fine, again ... it all works; so am I the only one who finds the female interest in such things as boring as hell?

Oh I should have stayed single. 33 years later and I just realised that

Doh!!

Not necessarily a woman thing - bit stereotypical to think that. I've just had a mate who's just registered on a serious interior design course so clearly cushions and all that do matter to some blokes.

It might be the fact that you and your partner seem to prioritise different things. Maybe that's the issue here?

I think it's even worst when male 'friends' delight in showing you about their houses wowing you with the extent and sheer brilliance of their latest DIY projects .... I feel like buying them a bike and re-introducing them to real people ....

As long as she still loves you and you'll know that she does, all the differences in your outlook matter not a bit!

Absolutely!
