Saw one of the best examples of the must overtake cyclist mentality today. This peugeot decides that they could over take me and be able to make a right hand turn just as I hit the flat at the top of a hill and start speeding up, I was in secondary because of the long climb I just had. For this drivers stupidity they nearly put their car on its roof ;).

I really need to get a camera!

Yeah I got my own back on someone who tried that yesterday ;)
I didn't have my bike computer, but I must have been going quite close to 30mph, they overtook, and the speed sign flashed 45, so that means they will probably get a ticket :tongue:

Its amazing, I see it on one particular bend where they will overtake to avoid hanging back for 30 yards into the path of any oncoming traffic, coupled with a propensity of the cars coming the other way to use more road that they need and going to fast I suspect one day there may be a coming together, if I am not dead or in bits I may just stop and do a Harry Enfield style "Now I do not beleive you wanted to do that".

I like it when people 'have to' overtake when coming up to a speed bump and the bottom of the car scrapes on the speed bump. I suppose it's probably my fault too ;)

I like that too. :biggrin::biggrin:

There's one mile long stretch of estate road that I use with speed bumps every 200 yards or so. That's usually good for a giggle .. especially when I arrive at the traffic lights at the end of the estate and catch up with the moton who, in their haste to get past me, has left bits of their car on the speed hump. Then I get off the bike at the kerb, walk past them, across the ped crossing over the main road and head off up the bridleway. :sad:

I had a similar experience back in the summer - I was bombing it down a hill, knowing (a) that there were speed bumps at the bottom and (:biggrin: because I was on the MTB I would be able to get some serious air off them.

Idiot in car came screaming past me just before the first bump appeared from round the bend - and nearly took out his suspension! His rear shocks bottomed out with a loud CLUNK and I saw the back-seat passenger hit the roof. :smile:
