Personally, I reckon the younger readers of these words should watch it, & see how, in some sketches, you don't need to even speak - dependant on what they show, obviously

just watched it...yes he was one of the greats and much missed

I've always enjoyed watching Dave Allen on TV, and got a DVD later on. What a legend that guy was .

His sketches were shoot. Just him, a glass of whisky and a stool was quality. You get the impression he was a hard man, not violent or obnoxious, just you wouldn't want to mess with him or he'd get in your face.

He did live long enough, he just didn't play the part.
