Haven't got it yet, but will let you know what it's like.

Cheers.Got the files off.Disconnected the battery out of the MUVI but then it doesn't work with an external battery pack unfortunately.Going to have to resolder it back in.

If you're fine with soldering you could try what this user posted to extend the battery life.

Thanks....yes it's up and working again but it has a few flaws battery life mainly...Looking at that for alternatives.Biggest shame is the battery life plus they haven't made a facility for an external battery pack AFAIK.;)

It's better than the ATC 2000 as that one was far too bulky.

Ok i've gone and done it  ...Ordered a torch camera from China and an ATC 2000 clone which takes AAA batteries instead of AA of which the ATC takes....so hopefully it wont be so bulky.

Aye lad.

There were some other bits in that thread as I've been working on a simplified power source although moving flats has put that on hold.

Anyway, it's possible to power it from external and also get the device to record by turning it on and power it in a specific manner. Basically with the device on (vox off) press and hold the record start/stop button and plugin the external source. Now release the record button and then click it once and it will begin recording but pulling power from both the battery and the external source. Currently I can do this using the power adaptor but not with my external charging pack and think it's just down to voltage. Just havn't had time to prove as such.

So there is hope to be able to use the Muvi even with it's flawed battery and without having to resort to doctoring the device with a soldering iron.

Oooo! That's it. It's recording from and pulling power externally. So may I enquire as to what your power source was?

.....and work at 4am? bbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Errrrr the mains.

I had the idea to buy a higher rated 3.7v battery as it is actually normal to get between 60-80 mins from the MUVI.

No I got to work at 430am.Later start tommorow 2 hour lie-in.

I just record the more likely action filled commutes which would be more likely when coming home this week.
