I agree its hard to ignore, hence my ongoing interest from the sidelines. What are you doing about editing, layout and cover design for your novels?

I use professional subs when I can, but I can't always afford  Layout options seem a little minimal with Kindle but I'm still educating myself, hence not putting out my baby as the first trial. I have a few designers and illustrators I use, for the NCP book I did the cover myself (photo is mine too).

I can send it in a format folk can forward to their Kindle if they wish to

Colin, would you like a copy?
Yes please. I'll PM you my email address.

I understand exactly where Andrew is coming from. I have been encouraged by reactions to some of my longer posts on CycleChat (such as this one, which is only about 1,800 words, so Andrew's story is almost three times the length of mine); I too am having a go at writing something for the Kindle. Watch a space very similar to this one ...

I am not a writer, but many of you know how I like to tell my little tales on CycleChat. I thought I'd do what Andrew is doing and see if I can appeal to a wider audience.

I was thinking along the same lines as Andrew. So many books are being published for the Kindle every day, that an unknown author needs an effective strategy to get his/her work spotted.

Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
I hope that you don't commute by bike!

(Well, it would be just lovely if you commuted by bike, but not with your Kindle strapped to your handlebars ...)

Im a cycle commuter no more, the train takes the strain now, just enough time to read and review
