a lot of you know that I had a bad crash on my bike in January. I’m so much better now, getting strength in my arm back. Still got movement issue, but nothing physio won’t eventually sort out.

I also threw myself into my law degree. Catching up with a month off! But more importantly, getting ready for three exams I had in May. I have had two and they went really well. Got one on Wednesday next week.

But, after I am finally going back out on my bike. For the first time. Going to do mtb at first get my confidence back. I have been using the turbo a lot recently, and this week was the first time my arm didn’t hurt like buggery when I got off.

I’ve even or my bike ready cleaned and oiled  here’s hoping the glorious weather we have had whilst I’ve been stuck inside studying stays!

Good to hear you getting back on your bike.

Take it steady and build up your confidence steadily. No need to rush things.

That's great news to hear your getting better. I remember reading your post about your accident a good few months back.
Just ease yourself slowly back into it, and this time next year it will hopefully be a distant memory for you :-)

Welcome back to 2 wheels - great news! Good job on the revision and keeping up on the turbo too - Matt Hayman won Paris-Roubaix that way

Went out, was expecting to feel nervous or have no confidence. But just felt like I normally do, just a bit slower.

Only done 10 miles down to Sandbanks and back. But was awesome to feel free again. Hopefully get my fitness back quickly as I’m still using turbo. Arm didn’t hurt until I got back and after a stretch it felt better.

Excellent (re)start. You're bring back memories for me there - I used to live in Poole/Bournemouth and regularly rode through Sandbanks. Had a winter let in Sandbanks itself one year for six months - in a holiday home with almost no heating, but with the beach just outside the back door.
