When I was about 10, I was in a local shop and an irrate man came in asking who's bike that was outside (mine).
Turns out his Son had had an identical bike stolen a few days before and I had to go out and prove it was mine (the postcode was stamped on the crank arms).

Scared the s* it out of me and I think my reaction convinced him I was innocent.


Never heard if they had found it, but I certainly never saw another one like mine (a Raleigh Aztec).
