My bike stolen today I am gutted

I am distraught. I know it's not a full blooded carbon road killing machine but my baby specialized sirrus was nicked today from the train station. I am so gutted I feel like I may actually cry.

Ouch, I feel pissed off just thinkin about that. Hopefully the thief will have his genitals mutilated in an accident while riding it.

Parked at tolworth. Chained up with a combination chain, fairly heavy duty but I've always known I was taking a bit of a chance With it not being a D lock. It wasn't insured either. There are some cctv cameras so we will wait and see but I'm not particularly optimistic that I will see it again.

My pride and joy, also not a silly crabon fibre thingamabob, was nicked from a train station last year. It's a pretty crushing feeling going to the rack and finding it's not there. British Transport Police treated me civilly but weren't able to progress as the CCTV was crap - something they'd told SWT repeatedly about their shiny new bike racks in Petersfield.

I now hoof around a d-lock and will be getting a ridiculously large chain and padlock to augment it, for when I leave the bike unattended for long periods.

Make sure you I sure your new c2w bike when it arrives, bad enough when it's yours, worse if your are still paying for it. Get a kryptonite Fahg or Abus grant it x to go with.

Keep an eye on gumtree and fleabay. Was it police marked? I form bike register of the theft if so

Do you have local news on Facebook?
Folks up here post re missing bikes, cars, etc.
That's how we got the cat back when he disappeared.
Worth a try if you have it.

Don't worry about the police marking too much if you have the frame number. Wasn't it covered on your home insurance? Good luck recovering or replacing it.

On the bright side you could always replace it with a much better one..... It should be tret the same as pinching a car, they dont seem to be too bothered catching bike thieves,
