My bike wasn't stolen last night

Someone broke into my bike shed last night. They cut two padlocks off with bolt cutters, but didn't bother stealing my bike.

I feel insulted. What exactly is wrong with a purple steel ladies bike with a front rack, hub gears and cottered cranks? That's the trouble with crooks today - no style.

Yeah, it was such an awful feeling when I realised the shed doors were open. I ran out in my dressing gown and when I saw the edge of a wheel I just couldn't believe it. I just finished building the bike last week. I would have been gutted if it had gone.

My heart goes out to that poor lock, after a long service life someone cuts it short!
