I've had this bike for about 20 years now.It cost me £50..
I believe I am only the second owner from new.

I did publish a Wordpress bog about it years ago, and when I just looked for it, I couldn't remember the address!

Anyway, I found it eventually and here it is. Don't laugh

Nice bike, good blog! Is that really the original derailleur? An 80s touring bike with useable gearing! What will they think of next? (see various moans re: Claud Butler Majestic, most recently by @HertzvanRental and myself )

Here's my Touristique, atop europe's highest road in the Sierra Nevada 1995.
Sadly it's no longer with us, gone to the great scrap yard in the sky

Cheers, the bike is pretty well original. Just the cables, tyres and bar tape changed. All the gearing, chain and cassette are the same as when I got hold of it!
