My Brooks B17 Imperial - comments please

Does that look a little, um, collapsed to you? To me, it looks as though it's collapsed either side of the cutaway.

It'd done around 4000km. No dimples/indentations at all, hard as new. Then I did a 400 and that's what it now looks like.

I thought that was the idea of the cutout, to provide an area of relief under the er...more sensitive region. I suspect if you keep the lace tight all will be well.

I was expecting sit bone indents... I wasn't quite anticipating that is should become more of a hammock shape!

To me it looks as if the cutaway area area of the seat has dropped. If you visualise a line from tip to tail, that's were the seat top was.

The important thing is whether it is comfortable. If it is, why worry?

I'm not worried. I'm just asking for comments. Call it interest. Other peoples Brooks' may have done the same, I don't know.

If comfort becomes an issue then I'd talk to Brooks themselves. At the moment, I don't know if it is an issue.
