Is that the van in the yard area? It's quite distinctive-looking. How old is it?

Mine is 1970's but they began making them in the 50's and remained pretty much unchanged until they stopped making them in the early 80's

They fetch a few quid too, even if they're a bit knackered. My misses and I looked into buying one for her business... and passed on it pretty sharpish!

Mine didn't fetch a few quid ... it went for £550 to a couple who wanted to use it as a mobile dog grooming salon, of all things.

Mine was used for years as a chicken shed on a French farm before a friend of mine bought it on Ebay ("accidentally"). I bought it from him, rebuilt the engine and did a lot of welding (including fabricating and fitting a complete new bulkhead under the back of the cab) and lined it all out in ply before losing interest and selling it three years on as a non runner. Nice toknow I saved one H van though!

Mine is soooo rusty that given a choice I wouldn't have picked it to restore.

However, due to the sad circumstances around how I came to own it means that I will finish restoring and enjoy using it
