Today I did my 4th bike ride with 5mph Pat and can't believe we did nearly 27 miles. That said I don't think ill be able to move for the next week or two. Really chuffed though as I thought I'd struggle at 10 miles. Added to that she made me ride up mountains (well pats insists they were merely little inclines but I don't believe her) MOUNTAIN's phew!!!

Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
:bravo:well done you. Next week 32, just raise it by 5 every week and before you know it she will be getting you to do her 100 mile route. Keep it up and tell us how you are doing and when you stop for a breather take a photo we like to see your ride.

I agree, being Scotland they had to have been Mountains, you just don't do hills up there.

Very well done @Hellsbells2504 I am proud of you!
Yes, we did set out to do a 10 mile ride, detoured some as we were scouting for a future beginners ride, had to approach the destination from all angles ^_^
All angles proved unsuitable (hilly on road approach), Helen insisted in NOT taking the train back, even rode up University Avenue (for non Glasgow people, Uni Avenue is quite steep!), not only that, she rode it on the on road cycle lane, quite near passing traffic.
Also fearlessly followed me on the cycle lane back to her home, which is practically just another lane painted on a dual carriage way.
A day full of achievements for @Hellsbells2504

Edit: Helen done all this in Jeans, btw, sometimes the Lycra is just not necessary!

My legs are actually feeling fine this morning ( god knows how) it's my arms, neck and shoulder that's killing me. I have had a frozen shoulder for about a year now so I expected that. Maybe the legs will go tomorrow :-)
