as the whole family is going it might be a bit tricky , plus we are going to the wake afterwards , i do have a 60 plus mile ride planned tomorrow

Windy. Slow start because I can... then spent an hour or so in shed fettling trainer bike. Was not entirely happy with the whole position and comfort, so swapped out the handlebar for different width, slightly longer stem, inline seat post to replace the minimal setback one, and a different SMP saddle. Trialled it after lunch and it's much better, although may still try another seat.

Have seen one of the Tacx trainer bikes for sale locally, the all in one unit instead of a bike bolted. Tempted.

Pellets delivered, but not until 1100, was fettling road bike, changing the gear cables, the FD cable is a PITA, as it routed internally round the BB, using black liner sheath, which has deteriorated and had to be removed so now struggling to feed the cable through 😬

There's a technique to that. Give us a shout if you are struggling.

Managed it by cobbling together some narrow sheathing with the original to get it through the frame..... The inner sheathing I've got is for brake cable and too wide for the wee hole in the frame, the LBS didn't have any so I bodged!
Also ordered some from Ebay. All working now, just need to wrap the bars. I think Pinno said he would nip over to do that 😉
