PS there is a Mundane news and a Tea thread for posting nonsense already, rather than have one a day ? Just saying.

We will not be assimilated![]()
On this here refugee boat, thisdeckplatform provides the opportunity to retain some of our unique culture. If this practice is forbidden, we will start shouting stuff like 'discrimination' and 'not cricket'.
Assimilation into the Bike Radar culture will take time for the Cycle Chat brethren but that change will be inexorable.
We found ourselves floating in the sea of uncertainty and in need of asylum, refuge and cultural expression founded on obscurity and the inexplicable (I must say, I don't understand most of it myself but it's strangely alluring). It adds colour to life and one can only recommend jumping on the bandwagon - your life will never be the same and you wouldn't want a return to that sort of mundane, even if you could.
Although the language being English is similar, we find ourselves worlds apart. Visiting hours are pretty loose but like most institutions, translators are either in short supply or on gardening leave so you'll just have to work things out for yourself.
I'll leave you with this ancient Arabic expression for you to ponder. Unfortunately, it looses most of the meaning in translation but I am sure you will agree that it is most apt in these times of unpredictable chaos:
"When the moon winks, the vulture flies sideways"
It's amazing what AI can come up with these days.
What you have to realise is that we jumped the same ship when it had just been renamed from C+.'Assimilated' is probably the wrong word. Critics would argue that this cultural revolution is like Japanese knotweed. They are wrong: it's more like Ivy. When the Ivy reaches a certain density, the change will have happened. Being true to the Buddhist pholosophy regarding change as elastic*: once you start the process, you are stretching the elastic. There comes a point of no return when the elastic is fully elongated and is released. Only, it's destination and endurance is unknown**.
Embrace it comrade; fighting and protesting is futile and a waste of mental and physical energy that would be far better spent eating exotic fruits, cycling along tarmacadamed*** roads, Yoga (what?), drinking alcohol and fornicating solo or otherwise****.
*They had elastic in the 5th century BC?!
**Exciting, isn't it?
***Farq me, that word actually exists
🗡️***Such neat dovetailing of the BR (BB) ethic weaved into the fabric of Cycle Chat and this monologue. Aren't I clever innit? Come on - admit it: you are sold on the idea. Note the quadruple asterisk avoidance through use of a symbol. This really is unfathomably crafty stuff.
'Shaun'?
Do you remember 'Invasion of the body snatchers'?
Who's got the silver bullets? He's the boss. Kills the zombies.
