Little history first: was looking for a second hand bike to put on my trainer when I got talking to my neighbour, who just happened to have 1 he was throwing. So I thought why not, would be a good bike to learn on as well. As I've said the bike was originally only going on my trainer, so it's not finished perfectly. That said have become quit fond of the old dog so am now contemplating going the full hog and getting it back on the road

Thanks. As originally planned for trainer threw the old brakes away. But if I do decide to get it back on the road, brakes will be going back on

Idea was to spend as little as possible, so a bit of elbow grease and a rust remover gel from halfords done a good enough job for my use.
Seat post is car engine paint, probably would change that (type of paint) if I was going to start taking it on the road. It's not a perfect finish

Wow...what a transformation! Well done

Lol I hear you. Took me couple of weeks, odd hour here and there, to do and as I said now want to use it or more than just the trainer
