Puncture!!!! I'm so proud.
I've had the bike a year (nearly to the day) and tonight as I pulled around the corner onto the final 100 yard stretch to home I felt it go. Not surprising really as it was right next to where some building work had just finished.
When I repaired the puncture, after coffee and cake, I found what looked like a paper clip that was the culprit.

I think it's very satisfying to repair your own punctures and even more so when you're out on the road, trail or path. Even so I can't avoid that 'oh nooo' feeling when it happens. I would imagine its much better if its right near the end of the ride, at home.

A year without a puncture...you are blessed . I had five last week, none the past two days . I got some puncture resistant tires but have not put them on yet. I will be riding with tire liners tomorrow. I am going to try the liners first with my old tires since my "old" tires have only about 100 miles on them. If I still have many problems the new puncture resistant tires and going right on, along with the liners.
