My laptop won't play videos

It keeps saying an error occurred. No matter what site, they won't play. It just happened yesterday. I usually wait for these things to correct themselves but it hasn't yet, so that's why i'm asking on CC. Any suggestions please.

Yes. I don't know which version of Windows you have. I have machines that run Windows 7 and also Windows 10. The idea of System Restore is to make the PC revert to the settings it had at an earlier date when it behaved. You choose the date from a few that are suggested. If you let me know which version of Windows you have, I'll try and give instructions.

I just do not know how to do that. I'm going to have to take my laptop in to a local computer shop tomorrow. It's not the end of the world,but it's bad. I can't get radio stations either.
