Don't panic! The move to the new house went smoothly. It's been a crazy couple of days, although they have been quite enjoyable. I've been getting my hands dirty moving stuff, unpacking stuff, building things, stripping wallpaper, painting, insulating lofts, getting double glazing quotes etc. There is plenty more to do, but it seems like a challenge and I am looking forward to it. (oh yes there was the small matter of sick children as well!)

So why am I angry and sad. Well one minor thing went wrong during the move...I managed to loose all of my bike lights. I remember taking them off the bike just before dashing to collect the keys for the new house. What happened to them after that is anyones guess! I have a feeling I may have placed them on the car roof...... So my hope 1 LED, B&M Ixon IQ and my Mars 4.0 rear light are no more.

So today was supposed to have been my first bike commute from the new house. It was cold, and icy on the side roads, but perfect on the main roads. But I had no lights. So I had to take the car.

I now have to spend money that I can ill afford to spend on new lights (HJ will like me, as I've ordered a Dinotte 200L as well as a B&M Ixon IQ). Of course no cycle commuting until the lights arrive. Probably after Christmas....:rolleyes:

Ah but I want a new kitchen and new boiler more!

Well, bad luck but if your lights are the only casualty of the move, then not too bad. Still having to shell out for new ones having just moved and at Xmas is hard, especially if it keeps you off the bike.

Our dinning table was also a casualty. We noticed it was a bit wobbly when it got to the new house. Upon inspection, some of the wood frame underneath had split. It must have been banged in the move. It's still usable, but needs replaced. Luckily it should be covered under the removal firms insurance, and it was only an Ikea table anyway!

Ummm, emmm, errrr....

Do you remember I mentioned something about loosing my bike lights earlier in the thread......ummm, errrr.... I think I might have found them...

Setting off in the car to drive down to the in-laws for Christmas, I open the glove compartment and what should fall out...all of my lights! ;)

I've just spent about £180 replacing them all!:blush:

Oh well, I'll have some lights to compare in the new year, (and some to sell to recoup some funds).

So I will definitely be selling a Busch and Muller Ixon IQ (only need one of these). The question is, will I be selling the Hope LED 1 or the Dinotte 200L....
