Hi 3narf, I work for Qualitair, a recruitment company in the aircraft maintenance sector, you could do worse than register with us, we have work all over Europe (including the UK) for Avionics/Aircraft Electricians.... Send me a CV if you're interested - se@qualitair.com - if you do, can you mention Cycle Chat please? Cheers, Stan.

In terms of camping for lengthy periods in cold weather try a tipee tent as you can have a wood burning stove in them!

My dad has offered to buy me my cousin's camper van but I'd quite like to stay in my huge tent, tbh.

A camper van would be good, though, as it'd solve the problem of me getting my scooter over there.

Oh! I got the job. There are significant challenges ahead but I'm quite excited about the whole thing.

Well done on getting the job.

Hope the logistics sort themselves out OK. I'd personally have the camper van as a backup and keep it there, sleeping in the tent as preferred.

yeah id go for the camper and poss some kind of awning /tent beside it ,itl give u a base for locking things out of sight and a refuge for when the weather is really bad and stuff ,and being drivable is no bad thing for when u cant cycle

I don't think I'll be staying in a van or tent.

None of the sites nearby seem to do a seasonal pitch - one of them wants 336 Euro for 14 nights in July.

I'm getting really despondent now. I'm due to go out the about the end of May.
