My New Boardman CX

I have put the Marathon Supreme tyres on it and a Brooks saddle, mudguards yet to be fitted. Did a twenty miler on it today and it was real smooth, probably commute on it tomorrow in London and to Chichester station..........

Should cope with the punishment of the british roads easily! Definitely look into clipless pedals.

Really wanting to get this bike on the C2W scheme!!! How much did you pay for it not happy it has been sitting at £750 for a while now shot up to £899. How are the discs brakes? Have you got a Roadie to compare it to?

I paid the £899 but even at that it is excellent value and compares well. I just got rid of a boardman road comp and I prefer this as comfort is a real thing for me, hence the Brooks saddle. It was fast can't say I noticed much difference in that dept and seemed better on the hills imho.

That looks really nice mate. I am thinking about one of these too, I wanted a Specialized Tricross as I have a Secteur road bike that I find very comfortable and I believe that the Tricross is the same size. The price of it however for the spec that I would like with disc brakes, Tiagra groupset is £1200 which I find a bit hard to stomach and I have started looking at other options. At £899 the Boardman CX looks like great value for a similar spec bike compared to the Tricross Elite.

I thought tricross but as this was c2w I thought this was the best option, with the tyres bringing it up to the grand. Cheers

I have also made an excellent saving on mine with the c2w and 40% tax thing.
