nice bike got mine 2011 but with sram apex (old legs need low grears). got the shop to change a few things and to add a bit of colour (sunderland) lad cant be seen on a black+white bike

I'm only a tad over 5' and I don't feel comfy stretched out over the bike.
I changed it from a 90mm to a 60mm to see how it feels. If I find it too short then I'll try a slightly longer one

It'll make the steering much more twitchy

I'm aware of that but I'll try the short stem and see how it feels first. I get a fair amount of backache after a while so I'm just trying to find a way to ease it a little

It's worth a try when I got my first roadie (I'm not sure if its your first or not) it took me about 3 months for my body to adapt. Now my core is stronger I really love the stretch good luck with it, it's a lovely bike

That is a very nice bike I've not ever ridden a Cannondale myself, but they are certainly on my list when I come to get my next bike.
