I was thinking about this today and have come up with my first conclusion about fixies.

They seen perfect for standing up while you pedal without having to worry about changing gear i.e. the ultimate accelatory blast to get you through the day

  6. Fixies also show how good a cyclist you are?

LOL, I don't think so. It's just a different way of cycling, with a different skill subset. For me it's all about the feel, that's why I like skating too.

I'm intrigued by this skill subset. Pray tell more.

  9. I think it's more skillful as you have to think in advance of what you are doing.

I'm not sure why you'd have to plan any further ahead than you should be doing on a geared bike too?
