Just finished my first build, I came from a Raleigh R500(1998). Stared off I was just going to swap frames and keep all of the old stuff. Ended up only keep the drive train. Carbon frame, forks, fsa carbon stem, bontrager RXL carbon bars, Omni racer carbon seat post, Adamo road saddle. Aeromax wheel set, panaracer closer plus tires. Running full Tiagra Tripple 9 right now, plans to upgrade that later this year. This build taught me a lot

Sounds great kloeshuman but your photos aren't showing up. Welcome to the forum and look forward to hearing how the bike rides.

Not sure what I did wrong, I tried using photobucket but as you see...I get nothing. If anyone can help that would be great

Thanks! I think that should work. I tried almost the same before but I think it might be because I have not been on a full day yet? that seemed to be the message I just got. I will try late tonight or tomorrow

The image insert was a little messed-up, but I've re-jigged it and it should display okay now.

Cheers,
Shaun

Thanks Shaun, not sure what happened there. And Thanks Cyclist33, I'm pretty happy with it so far. I took it out last thursday for a short test ride(22 degrees out that day), I had a little fine tuning to do on the front derailer, ended up changing the BB to bring things in a little closer and it worked great. What a difference in ride over the Old Raleigh. I put about 1600 miles in last summer between the Raleigh and a kona dew. Im going for 2000 miles this year. Not that it matters much, but the new bike weights in at 17.4#
