I have several pairs in all sorts of shades inc Gaerne in white with Italian Tricalore colours, Gaerne white & blue & Giro gloss red with white.

Don't give a monkeys chuff.

I have a pair of white Lake shoes too. Very comfy and I had no idea that you are not supposed to wear white shoes until I opened this thread.
I think that your new shoes look great. Even better as they were £50. Wear with pride.
Anyway if you go down the park at any time of the day you see people playing football in daglo-cat-sick yellow boots, bright green boots, red boots and so on and so forth which are a LOT more naff than white cycling shoes - if white cycling shoes are allegedly naff.

I bought a size larger then usual as apparently they come up small. Would you say that is right Andy?

I just bought my normal size (46) and the fit is fine for me. I did find the tongue rubbed a bit at first but wore in quickly.

I like white trainers and white cycling shoes so yes they look good! Maybe spray them with some of that stuff they try and flog you when you buy trainers,the "universal protector"one. It'll help keep them white for longer!

Thing that swayed it for me was the attractive price of £50. I can deal with looking like a nobber for that price.

I had a similar dilemma when I saw a pair of silver shoes at a bargain price, but like you I can deal with looking like a 'nobber' if the price is right

I think that matching kit gives you at least a 5% advantage. Definitely.
