my next project

this frame set is my next project would like to have a flip flop rear so it can be fixed or single speed but will have to see if enough space for said hub to fit frame as very narrow on back end .
no frame markings or numbers just an L1 on the bottom bracket shell and L4 on frok stearer tube , anybody got any ideas to parentage , please help .

rear brake bridge is undrilled so will need to sort out rear brake , fr fork crown is drilled , wanted to use 27" but they wont go so down to 700's .

not the lightest frame in the stable at under 4kg bur a nice cllean original one never the less , more pics will be posted as time goes by but be warned it wont be a quick project .

popped in today to see how its getting along , not ready yet , but rear wheel all done and looks good headset and bottom bracket all done just the chain line to play with and adjust , so about another 2 weeks before i get it home due to other commitments , still cant wait .

a pr of Hutchinson hp22's arrived today for it so we are getting there slowly

at long last , its back from lbs , and is residing in garage with 2 wheels and tyres along with chain line spot on .

i am looking forward as much as you apb

just had an 1 hr in garage finally getting wheels and tyres on along with some bars, pedals and a saddle and had a run round the block just to see what it feels like and boy it feels nice .

will try and get some more pics up during week . as can be seen in this pic its got very tight clearance all over , managed to squeeze a dual action shimano fr brake caliper on , not sure if going to run a rear brake yet .

well if next week is dry then this will be used in singlespeed form for my commuting machine just for the testing miles , so fingers crossed

it hasnt progressed far other than bolting saddle and a set of bars with a brake on , hence testing miles next week

after nearly 2 months , have just managed first mile with no issues , so some more testing miles close to home then start on commutes , feels strange not being able to freewheel .

done another 2 miles 15/05/12 pm still strange feeling

ok 1 month on from last post all going well being used most days for commute , still only using fr brake .

just come back from an early morning blast covering just over 8 miles in around 28 mins which is the longest period & miles i have spent riding this machine .

its running 52 fr with an 18 rr so cadence is down but is very relaxing

coming home last night from work got to half mile from home when i hear funny noise and then 1 pedal arm drops to bottom of its stroke , yet other one still going round . and then irealised a cotter pin had dropped out and dissapeared , so of to lbs today to get new one .

Great project. How much is this one for sale for?

now sold , so next double fixie is under away , will try and get pics on to a new thread soon .
