The Summer Book is on my bedside to be read again. Wasn't Dayvo going to translate one of her books into English but it never happened and it still hasn't been translated?

Here's my mugshot for the collection.

Speicher is a mug.
This is 'post a lie about someone' - is it not?

My sister bought me a "Cool Chris" mug with a matching poem (yes, I think she was being ironic) which I had for years across about four different employers. For some reason someone else called Chris I work with kept using it and it disappeared more than once to the 26th floor. Now it seems to have gone forever.

My office mug is a Land Rover giveaway that I found in a land Rover dealer's car park about 12 years ago.

Sadly, yesterday I smashed my favourite at home mug, a lovely lightweight china mug with fishy designs on it that I've used for 13 years since Mrs Gti brought it into my life. Back now to clumpy mugs with badly shaped handles.

My office mug for about 15 years was a Winnie The Pooh of my daughter's - I think she got an Easter egg in it one year. It's still around somewhere. I've graduated to one of those '1.5x normal capacity' mugs, though a brew doesn't seem to last me any longer than a normal one.

I have a history of getting distracted, so over the years many hundreds of mugs of tea ended up being poured away because I forgot to drink them. (I compete for the annual longest-forum-post prize and all that typing takes time!)

Eventually, some of my loved ones took pity and bought me a Thermos mug which has made a big difference to my tea consumption. I now drink about 70% of the tea that I make for myself.

That reminds me - I fancy a brew. Oh, and the mug is looking pretty manky so I'll give it a clean while I'm at it!

Do you have to go often? I only went a few times - we had a contract with the Helsinki Stock Exchange. But it was a bit dull admittedly. In fact, it's safe to say it was like watching continental shift. A bit like Ilkeston writ large, but in a language you will never, ever understand.

Not that often fortunately, I think this is visit number five. I've got to go and see AFS and a forest ... yawnsville.

My office mug was bought in 1988 in Florida, it had my nick name on it that only appeared when the mug was hot.

It was thrown out by the bosses wife in 2007 as it did not match the rest of the office mugs.
I left the company.
