Whilst I have digitally tidied this picture up very slightly; there is no filter, no special effects have been added - and the sky is pretty much exactly as it was a few days ago. We do get some amazing sunsets - but more so particularly sunrises on the East Coast. I believe there is a phenomena of why it’s so prevalent here……

These veteran Oak trees always impress me. This one is large and atleast 600 , perhaps 800 yrs old.

I remember a tour by a local forester who pointed out an oak tree they were prioritising; keeping an eye on it and the surrounding trees to make sure it grows straight for good timber. It was "about" 350 years old. I asked when they'd cut it down.
"About 350 years".

I sailed around the Kyles of Bute from Largs in 2022 as a little aside from my Ayrshire tour. I'd love to sail on her again some day.
