Saturday afternoon gravel, on a track between Romaldkirk and Grassholme reservoir. The internet speed up here is incredible too, bizarely.

Far end of the dam at Grassholme. Don't think there're many trout being nabbed. 17.5 miles done and nearly 2,000 feet of climbing from home. About 15 to get back. Don't know where the heatwave and blazing sunshine went, it's dull & cool up here.

What are those towers for? I notice lots of reservoirs have them, so there must be a good reason.

I'm not 100% sure but I think they're for measuring water level and controling water release. Valve towers rings a bell.

Yep, valve towers which draw off water at the required height. Elan valley has some good ones.

Technically a "late last night" photo. Whilst up at my elderly Mum's in Cumbria, myself and Mrs TB went slug/snail hunting in and around her pots we've just planted up for her.
