That's an amazingly expensive fence alongside that route. Did Europe pay for it ?

It's not along all of it, only in certain places. Not sure why it is really needed at all, unless they're concerned about people falling down the embankments or into the lake. It's not sheep-proof so doesn't keep them off the path.

No idea who paid for it.

The roads for my daily cycle get very congested at this time of year.

Fledborough viaduct. Looks nothing special, but when the alternative is the A57 or going down to Newark it is a godsend.

Visited some friends a few miles inland, in Exmoor National Park, and opposite their cottage is this building.

I nipped across the road, to see what Cycling Magazines they had, but they only had hay bales on the shelves?
