That's a pretty damning set of answers on the whole! I feel suitably humiliated

It's only cooking music

Yeah, that's bad. If you are going to listen to bad music, at least listen to bad music from your own heyday.

Ah Canada.. Rich_p how are you with Celine Dion? Tell us the truth, now, you can't make things (much) worse..

You don't get me that easy!

Celine Dion is old hat - I thought I was cutting edge with Eliza Doolittle.

I must admit to having a lingering liking for Sade and Alison Moyet though.

How about Arctic Monkeys and Elbow? They appear on a compilation CD my daughter did for me. They sound nice amd MODERN!

Oh rich, rich - what can I say? I come onto cc for a quick check in and cannot avoid posting on your thread!

Firstly, SIL is right.BADBAD music, cooking or no cooking. In fact doesn't it poison the food having that dirge on in the background? Katie Meluah is tolerable but honestly, there is just so much good music out there, what's your excuse? Elbow is good, your daughter has good taste. However, I'm not going to get started on the music, could be here all evening droping in and out of different genres!!

Consider it said Rich, this with the crisp packet thing...I'm gob smacked!
