I joined a German cycling forum before setting off on my tour (www.radforum.de) and rather than being 'Member' or 'Senior Member' or even 'Vice President', their stages of user posting numbers seems to have a faintly bicyclic theme.
For example, I have just (having done over 25 posts) graduated from 'Fußgänger' (pedestrian) to 'Kettenputzer' (Chain Cleaner) which, those who have seen my chain, will know is a wildly inaccurate description. There are also (in German) 'Cyclist' and 'Knowledgeable Cyclist' - although I haven't yet come across the Bonj-worthy 'Serious Cyclist'. And no doubt lots of others too, although I haven't paid attention enough to know.
I rather liked this idea of status being bicycle-themed. But wondered what the top possible status could be (unless it was 'Serious Cyclist'). Cycling God? Sir Chris? Cyclist With More Impressive Thighs Than Aperitif?
