A few months ago I bought this Madone, looked the dogs then, but I saw a pic of one with black finishing kit and that looked even nicer, very stealthy, so I decided to ditch all or most of the white finishing kit for black and a more aggressive look, even the black alloy has or is being changed for FSA carbon, seatpost ordered on Friday didn't turn up today, but should be here tomorrow with Ultegra mechs...........anyway...........

Much nicer

This is the oneMrGrumpy 2.1 with full 105, a lot of bike for the money and weighing in at around 9kg with all the plastic bits removed, very good bike for the money, rides nice enough for a beginner, yet nimble enough to do some sportives...........swap the 105 for ultegra and its a very capable race bike weighing well under 9kg........an all round great bike with a great name:thumbsup:

grand to spend on C2W and its in the that price bracket, was looking for something with sharp handling, is it quite stiff at the bottom bracket area and a nice climber, my current road bike, is a wee bit lack luster when climbing? In fact much prefer my Langster as its razor sharp with handling.

Its a lot stiffer than my virago was and I can get up decent hills no problem

think I might go to my local stockist for a wee neb at this  Just wonder where they have saved money to get the price down, equivalent priced bikes don`t even come with complete 105, ignoring the usual savings on bikes i.e brakes

Wheels chainset and brakes seem to be where the money has been saved, but the frame is a really nice, sturdy light and very responsive frame, I only went in to have a look but came home with one........superb bike for the money and if you upgrade a couple of components, its a lighter bike than some lower priced carbons.......bargain
