Bought this new in 05 for £180, changed wheels and tyres added hydraulic discs its very light weight bare brushed aluminium clear laquered, which is quite rare on a cheap bike as only the top end models these days come in bare brushed ali
.
Its 8 speed shimano altus driven just had to add shimano under bar rapid fire pods to allow disc brake levers, and the forks are just cheap zoom coil spring which weigh at least 8 lbs..... but just bought a used duel air rockshox set for £100 from a bike shop worker which retail at over £500 but they are burgundy red....arrrrgh
still soon sort those out and have em sprayed jet black with new decals.
I cant wait to get them on as they weigh nothing compared to originals.
I have been using this bike a lot recently due to being made redundant, and have wondered why I left it sitting in spare room so long unused as its done no real milage since bought, im now like a kid with a forgotten about new toy
