An obsessive writes: Same chainwheel was fitted on the 1960s BSA Gold Crest, so it was a commodity part at the time.

I think the YPE 810 is the model number and is missing a (T) and should read TYPE 810. If you look carefully on the backs of the brakes you may find a circular symbol and within it a number. A pair of Weinmanns on my Falcon had 77 and 78 suggesting a year of manufacture of 1978.
