Sram have developed an easy way to remove their crank arms that doesn't require a puller of any kind, unfortunately they keep it a secret. I know how to do it now but they have produced instruction manuals and videos that show how to put the arms on but not how to take them off. If anyone wants to know how to do it I will explain.

not having the crank bolts tight enough works.... regardless of whether or not you want to remove the cranks.
