N+1 and I'm pretty excited

Tony Woodrup emailed me a couple of quotes for a belt drive Rohloff tourer today. The quotes were a bit of a distraction at work but I tweaked the one that was the closest match to my likes and took it in to Woodrup's tonight and had a further discussion on specs. I'll be getting some polished stainless steel trim bits added gratis to make the frame unique and special.

The next step is to drop in next week and get measured up by Kevin Sayles and thrash out the fine details regarding braze ons and the like.

I also have to decide on the colour - OS Explorer map orange is on the cards as it matches my other bikes.

Unusually for me, I can wait for final delivery.

It will be the second most expensive vehicle that I've bought.

It is a quality bit of kit. I didn't blanche when I saw the figures but I did downspec one or two bits of the finishing kit as a good dump will shed more weight and would be a good few quid cheaper.
