Maiden voyage of 31.7 miles completed...and I love it. Planned to go a fair bit further but my left butt, hip and knee was playing up. Can't decide whether its down to the difference in saddle or whether the cleats need adjusting again? Had a proper bike fit done on Friday, with a guy I more than trust, and cleats were checked from previous fit in January on other bike and needed no adjustment. Saddle is totally different to my Defy 1. More comfy and wider, so I am leaning towards that being the issue. Will persevere for a couple of rides before swapping it for the Defy's saddle as a trial.

As far as the bike is concerned, I did a route that I did last week on the Defy with the Zonda's fitted. Zonda's are now on the Bianchi, so we are just comparing the frame and running gear. I was 18 seconds faster over the distance, which isn't much, until you factor the difference in wind. It was a lot heavier cross wind this time. All I have to go on is the Garmin Connect data and it shows 7mph wind last time compared to 20mph wind this time. Can't argue with that tbh, and I feel fresher on arriving home this time too!

Will push the pace next time and see what it can do. I would certainly recommend to anyone interested in this bike already, for sure!

Ultegra 6800 gear shifts are flipping amazing if you haven't experienced them.

Loving the Bianchi. Did a different regular route tonight. Took it easy and was still faster than ever before.

Still not got any pics sorted. Lol.

Checked to see if 2015 models are out yet...and there is a new model of mine set to arrive early October...and the only difference is a different saddle and tyres!

It's full price too, albeit in Euri's rather than Pounds, so some saving but not like I had!

Result!

Approaching perfection from a distance.
Just a little bit envious. I have a Via Nirone, zenon group set, that's really great to ride. Can only imagine what the Sempre is like!

I love all the Bianchi's. They all have something special about them. Via Nirone included!

Mine is plain black, with only Celeste being a stripe on the finishing kit. Would have liked more, but didn't like the Black/Celeste version on this model.

Rides very nicely, but only been out a few times, so not quite really given it some yet in fairness. I need to go out and absolutely blast a short one I think. Lol.

Nice !
Zonda wheels are next on my upgrade list

Cheers. The Zonda's really made a difference on my Defy 1, so swapped them onto the Bianchi and the Fulcrum 7's from the Bianchi are on the Defy. Not ridden the Fulcrum's yet to compare, but they are a fair bit cheaper than the Zonda's so would assume that they don't compare. I was tempted to get a second set of the Zonda's, but would have been sleeping in the garage if had done so on top of the cost of the bike!

You mean you don't sleep in the garage with your bikes anyway

I am hoping to have a clear out of the junk in there and might actually contemplate it. It's already carpetted out there.

Until I get more space cleared, I have to squeeze past the Bianchi to get to the motorobike for work. Makes me smile every morning.
