Few Specs.

SRAM X4 gears seem very nice indeed, Tektro Mechanical discs - well impressed to be honest, easy to adjust and stop really well. Decent bars, stem, saddle, seatpost. Nice and light, and got £120 off list price. £329 wasn't bad for the spec.

Got it from Cheadle Halfords in a box, but was in Stockport Halfords getting it sized (no stock in that model) - the shop assistant was really helpful, found another 16" framed bike in the back (not new - possibly a member of staff's) then found a seat post that could be lowered to the bottom so we could try for size.

Son's comment "Its amazing". ;)

I think the Sram stuff is far superior to Shimano .. i've got Sram X5 on my MTB and Shimano Deore on my Tourer .. eventually i will upgrade to Sram on the touring bike

Simon

Certainly the lower end stuff is very good. I have Ultegra/Dura Ace and XT mechs on my bikes so was impressed - X4 is certainly better than Acera or Alvio (which is on my wife's more expensive hybrid).

i have run X0 for 3 years on my mtb and is super crisp

X0 must be a dream to use .. i will put X7 on the tourer
