Nail bars?

I've just walked about 2.5 miles down to the local shopping centre for some cat food, can't have kitty getting hungry can we?

Lots of the shops were closed, only half a dozen cars on the car park, it's usually jam packed. I walked past the nail bar and there were about 4 women sitting having their nails done by young men wearing face masks!

Am I being a miserable **** the buses were cancelled, everyone plodding round in wellies & walking boots and people can be bothered paying good money having their nails done!

On my journey home, usually only a half an hour(ish) walk I just thought I'd see what other CCers thought.

Good to see the nail filers braving the weather and getting to their workplace
This cold spell has reminded me I needed some warm and respectable clothing, armed with bulging wallet I cycled in to town to find the shop still closed for the festivities Grrrrr
They're obviously adhering to the schools calendar.

To stop them getting high on all that nail varnish each day? Or they don't want to breathe in nail file dust perhaps?

Schools in Nottinghamshire were back today...well, quite a few North of the county have closed due to the snow, but you know what I mean
