A relative of mine (wife's side of the family, thank heavens) has named her two sons after manufacturers of shotguns. Husband was very into shooting, I can't possibly say what the names are, as they are unusual enough to come up easily in a Google search, which the lads may well do at some point. Let's just say that they are called something like Beretta and Browning 'double-barrelled name'*.

*Side-by-side, obviously.

Congratulations and I think you are probably safe that nobody else in the class will have the same name..... Unless you start a new trend;)

Are you ready for the early arrival, one of mine was slightly early and spent the first day in either being cuddled or in a drawer whilst we had to get her crib ready! Though she didn't like it and spent the next few months in our bed!

Sort of. Got the fundamentals and plenty of nappies! Plan is for a moses basket for the first few weeks then a cot. Most importantly I've managed to escape for a swift half and a nip on the auspices of buying a sandwich...

Cheers for the good wishes troops, here's another.

Congratulations.

To add to the list, my granddaughter is Elise, born Tuesday.

On the subject of initials, we called our daughter Louise Claire, and the first thing my father said when he heard the names was "oh, Elsie. He was not popular.

Just read this... Later on the page where this is posted, they mentioned the names "Jessica" and "Sophie". I think along with Alexandra and Gemma, these are my very favourite girls names, all on one page!

The other name I like is Cassandra, not so much the name but the shortened version of "Cassie". I also love Bridget, which can be shortened to "Bridgie".

But names are such personal things. My sil is expecting in April, and the name they have chosen I'm really hoping they change, but of course I keep really quiet! If you haven't got anything good to say, don't say it....

My girls names are Alexandra, Gemma and Ella
Pain in the butt trying to find the middle ones name on anything when on holiday.
I like Amber as a name.
But with my surname (green)I had great fun coming up with names for ours such as Pamela terresa, or Bolan if I had a boy - my wife was going mental.
