name this film !!

i wonder if anyone can help with this . i watched a film about 20 years ago and i have been looking out for it to be on again but never seen it advertised . a brief description as memory serves - it was colour but there was no talking in it - dont think it was silent though ( background noise music gunfire etc ) all i can really remember was it featured 1 man but there seemed 3 or 4 stories going on at the same time - he would go through a door and totally different story going on - nothing connected apart from this 1 man either being chased or some other story - i know the very end he rolls / falls out a taxi brushes himself down and goes into his place of work -- really bizarre film but at the end i thought that kept me awake right till the end - whats unheard of late at night after a few beers - sorry its so vague but any help appreciated - dont think it was a twilight zone film as i think i have checked all them - thanks
