Well done gaz we have a winner... SEVENTY-EIGHT!!! 78 sets of traffic lights on an eleven mile route on a mainish artery into the City Centre. SEVENTY-EIGHT!!! It cannot be necessary to have that many surely. Because I was counting I noted that in a few places there are pedestrian crossings only a hundred metres apart, and in several places there are pedestrian crossings within fifty metres of a junction with traffic lights... What is the point?

Next time I do the commute (on Monday evening)... I am going to count how many times I have to stop at them.

When the light closes in, and I can't go through Hyde Park, that'll add around another ten sets. I dread to think how many it would add if I went down Oxford Street as well...

Overtook 2 cyclists. Saw two coming in the other direction. On a 6 mile commute. Even three of my regular passing acquaintances were missing today. I feel so lonely at the moment.

And it was a good day - dry with a following wind.

There's an old guy who goes up Mucklow hill as I go down and he has exactly the same Kona hybrid as me, not seen him for about 7 or 8 weeks though.
I also see some guy on a MTB going down as I go up. Saw him tonight on the way home and he obviously didn't pack his wet weather gear as he was just grinding up it in shorts and t shirt.

Other than that its just the odd 1 or 2 maybe.

Boris Bikes and the weather... Last night's rain and this mornings did for a lot of them. No guessing games as I'm off for the weekend soon. But there were on six last night and a measly three this morning...

Defo going to count the joggers next week, before it gets too dark/cold for them.
