More of a chilling wind has reached my forehead and now im ill because of the wind no cycling for a while. Wind wind go away dont ever come back another day.

For the winds sake i could not agree with you more. Sadly atm ill so its annoying i cant cycle while im ill and the worst of it. I feel lazy.. lol

Bit of a harsh response above! Having endured 70MPH+ South Westerly gusts over a 17 mile commute yesterday here in Pembrokeshire (and been blown over twice en route), it's fair to say that these current winds are extreme. Respect to any cyclists braving these elements!

Even with constant direction, the steep valleys round here mean an expected tailwind based on overall wind direction can turn out to be headwind instead. Small changes in direction can mean doing a circular route is almost entirely head wind. Never seems to work the other way round though.

It was a pig on my way home this morning.

Roads I normally do 18 mph on, I was working like mad to maintain 10 mph.
